Ocean’s Calling 2023

A Wave of Fun: Oceans Calling Festival Recap in Ocean City, Maryland

Ocean City, Maryland, a coastal gem known for its stunning beaches, vibrant boardwalk, and lively atmosphere, recently hosted the much-anticipated Oceans Calling Festival. This weekend-long event brought together music and the Ocean City community in a spectacular way. Let’s dive into the highlights and unforgettable moments from this festival that made waves along the Atlantic coast.

Day 1: The Opening Splash
The festival kicked off with a burst of energy and enthusiasm as attendees gathered at the Inlet, where the main stage was set against the backdrop of rolling waves. The first day featured a lineup of local bands, captivating the crowd with their musical talents. People lounged on the beach, soaking in the sounds, all while enjoying drinks and tasty eats.
Musical performances that stood out included Toad the Wet Sprocket, Michael Franti, Alanis Morisette and Jack Johnson. Personally my favorite was when Michael Franti joined Jack Johnson together on the Sea Bright stage.

Day 2: Some Rain and A Lot of Fun
Saturday was all about the music and not paying attention to the rain. The incredible performances didn’t stop all day long! Memorable performances included Ben Harper, Sheryl Crow, Noel Kahan and John Mayer. Another personal favorite was the
energy and excitement provide by Incubus.

Day 3: Rhythms of the Sea
The festival reached its crescendo on the final day with amazing weather and an incredible lineup of nationally renowned musicians. Headliners brought their A-game, creating an electric atmosphere that had the entire crowd dancing on the sandy shores. The sound of the waves provided the perfect natural accompaniment to the music, creating a unique sensory experience.
Weezer and the Lumineers played their hearts out to the crowd’s delight. My personal favorite wash the O.A.R. and Friends including the legendary DMC!
